Although this wasn’t a hometown Saint Louis wedding, Kristen and Darius are the loveliest couple and were such a joy to work with! Even with a postponement, there was so much love and celebration!
When Kristen first booked with us, we hadn’t moved to Saint Louis yet. But we love getting to travel to shoot weddings and getting to hang out in Nashville again was a treat!
They met in law school in Memphis and are proud fraternity and sorority members. Kristen described them to me as “morning people” so what better way to party then brunch? There were so many awesome traditions and dances incorporated throughout the day! It was hard for Mitchell and I not to join in all the fun! The toasts from family and friends during the reception were incredibly sincere. Truly, they were a reflection of how deeply loved they both are.
Mitchell and I especially loved the ceremony. Kristen’s dad not only walked her down the aisle, but also officiated. It made their ceremony that much more sincere and personal. My oldest brother married us, so we’re all about incorporating family into ceremonies!
We normally shoot outdoor weddings but we loved the cityscape and incorporated the downtown vibes in the photos! I loved shooting their portraits on the city streets and bridal party members helped us hold off traffic! It’s always an adventure and we are so grateful to have worked with such a compassionate and beloved couple!
Mitchell and I had the privilege of working with an incredible team of vendors. We all loved bringing this couple’s vision to life! We can only hope a Saint Louis wedding or two will be brunch themed!
As always, you can see more of our work here!
