Jessica & Carter in Mark Twain National Forest

When searching for a Saint Louis engagement photographer, Jessica knew she wanted candid photos to reflect their love. These two were serious troopers and drove an hour and a half out of Saint Louis for this engagement session with us! They met in the Pacific Northwest during college. After being together for eight years, they’ve learned not to sweat the small stuff. So when the drizzle began, they smiled and threw on their rain jackets without a second thought! It truly was a dream to have the soft rain, the stunning view, and deep woods to shoot in!

As always, Mitchell and I tried to incorporate as many natural elements as possible. From the low hanging branches, to the little yellow wildflowers we all love in a late Missouri summer. We also love to play with perspective. Especially during engagement sessions, we have time to shoot wide angles and intimate close ups! We certainly made the most of their champagne toast and will always love the soggy fun we had at this session!
